Skin turns gray no matter what color it was after a long enough time. If its gray, there's a good chance you're dead.

This one didn't stay dead. The flesh from its arms is peeled back where it reached for survivors through wooden barriers endlessly, along with hundreds other undead. It's battered body is denied death so that it may grant it to others.
