Sadly, Not all creepers stick to the dark cave systems of the normal world. This particular creeper accidentally walked into a nether portal and into the nether itself.
Somehow surviving the constant bombardment of the ghasts, the creeper fell, losing two of its short legs in the process. As it lay hidden from the ghasts on the floor in agony, its bones and vital life connections reshaped and grew, forming the shape of an armless wanderer.
The only explanation for the miracle of a creeper's regeneration is that creepers can only die if they explode, meaning that the body has no choice but to repair itself - even around missing limbs!

Once the process had finished. The creeper was lifted up by a small tribe of zombie pigmen. These strange creatures didn't know whether they should trust the creeper or not. However, over time, they grew to care for it. The lucky creeper was brought up for many years in a small nether cave and fed purely on the bread that unfortunate wanderers left as they were attacked by the creeper's pigmen family.

One day, the creeper wandered too far from the cave and got lost. The creeper decided to jump from one netherrack block to the other to get to a higher point from which it may see the cave. It was difficult to avoid the ghasts and lava below it, but it eventually jumped on safer ground. It was at this point that the creeper met its destiny. In front of it was the very same nether portal from which it entered the nether. The creeper took no chances as it jumped straight into the purple mist.

As it stood on the grass, the distant "moo"s and "Baa"s assured the creeper that it had returned home. But by this time, the creeper's mind had been so warped and twisted by the events in the nether that it no longer had the mechanism to explode at all. The creeper wandered the world alone -abandoned by the creepers that it had believed would welcome it back to the cave, but were disgusted by the creeper's hideous disfigurement- and survived by tearing apart helpless creatures with the teeth it had adapted in the nether.

There was only one pigman left in the world at this point, though no wanderer had seen it before. It had been disfigured by years of experiments on itself where it took parts of other creatures to repair its missing limbs, Luckily for it, there were many pig-parts around in the world to use.
The creeper saw it as an opportunity that would aid its survival - as grabbing creatures with its short teeth was very difficult-. It forced the pigman to fuse the arms of zombies with the body of the creeper. With these, the creeper made a dark cloak from the wool of sheep and also used it to kill the lonely pigman.

Its new hands helped it create a scythe that would aid its murderous rampage. For the creeper's warped mind felt that its destiny was kill those who needed to die... It became The Grim Creeper.
