This is my submission for the Twisted reality contest!
-----Story-----
long time ago, farmer Darton lived a quiet and peacefull life on his farm outside of town. He loved to plant crops and take care of his animal. But one thing disturbed him, the birds. All the birds liked to eat the seeds of his plants, so he decided to build himself a scarecrow. The morning after, the scarecrow was complete. it had a beige hood with horrible iron theeth and a very mind freaking grin.
after some days had gone, farmer darton where to check on his scarecrow outside in his corn field. He went trough all the corn plants in search of the scarecrow. Farmer Darton knew that he had placed the scarecrow on top of the small hill in the corn field. As he approached the scarecrow, he swore that he could see some birds sitting on it's shoulders. "Damn, the scarecrow dosen't work" he thought to himself as he got closer. Farmer Darton decided that he would throw away the scarecrow because it was of no use anymore. He carried it back to his farm and threw it into the garbage container, as he walked away he could swear that the scarecrow's grin had extended.
Later at night, when farmer Darton went to sleep, he had nasty dreams about two red, large evil eyes staring into him. He woke up immedietly and opened his eyes in the dark room. That's when he saw it, the scarecrow was standing at the side of his bed, with a huge grin and red, evil and glowing big eyes. The farmer got stunned and couldn't move as the scarecrow flew onto his bead and did the most horrible thing, it sucked out his soul.
Now, the legend of the living scarecrow spread through the country, they said that it feasted on people's souls and could take shape of the souls that it had collected....
