I am yet to win any contests, so I pardon you, please! Diamond or favourite! I won't even ask you to subscribe to me. All I want is to make the finals.
Hello, my name is Neon Frost, and I am not Swedish. But I have been studying the Swedish culture for several months so creating a Swedish character for this contest was perfect for me. This is a Swedish Christmas doll, something you would see in Santa's workshop- in the vintage traditional days. Now time children ask for iPhones, piano keyboards (cough, cough) And plain money! But there were times when children wanted little handmade toys like this doll.
About Swedish Christmas traditions (written by the me)
The Swedish Christmas season begins at the time the first advent candle is lit. Christmas trees are in Sweden just as much as America. But in Sweden they do not put up the tree until at least 2 days before Christmas. They decorate them a lot like other countries, with candy, trinkets and lights.
On Christmas Eve they have a feast called a "smorgasbord" (Iv'e seen them have this at Ikea). They have ham, korv, rice porrige, and a wide spread of food never heard of in America! On Christmas Eve night Tomte the elf will come and give presents to the good children.
On Christmas day, Swedes will attend a Christmas church service; they will sometimes race there! Swedish's best, most optimistic holiday is Sweden, and their celebrations are traditions for years to come.
A Essay on the Country of Sweden (also by me)
SWEDEN is a large country located by Finland and the Baltic Sea. Its capital is Stockholm, and population 9.6 million. The main language is Swedish. The people are referred to as Swedes. In Sweden, the government type is Unitary Parliamentary Representative Democracy, run under Constitutional Monarchy. Carl XVI Gustaf is their king.
In the Middle Ages, Sweden had the Viking Age. They later became a Kingdom and the country today is still in Monarchy. In World War I and II, Sweden maintained in the Neutral Powers.
Sweden is a very beautiful country. It has large mountain ranges, snow capped villages, and pleasant cities much like Manhattan. The weather is fair. In summer, the average temperature is 60˚ F and in winter it is 32˚ F.
The people there enjoy the outdoors. They are known for their blonde hair and blue eyes. Fishing is a way of life, as one entire side of the country is by water. They absolutely love pickled herring. They love nature and often ride bikes. There are many cities, where the people live, but there are also older places and landmarks recognizable. Sports often played are football, rugby, soccer, and hockey.
Sweden is an incredible country. Imagine visiting there yourself; see the sights and feel the norwegian wind blow.
Thank you for reading!!! Be sure to diamond and favourite!

I am not sure keep calm
Oh well there is always next time
Also "Swedish's best, most optimistic holiday is Sweden," I think you meant to say "Sweden's best, most optimistic holiday is Christmas,"
I may be wrong but I think names are normally written with numbers after, so "Carl XVI Gustaf" would be "Carl Gustaf XVI."
Is Sweden's average winter temperature really 0C˚?! :o I thought it was a lot colder than that. I guess not all parts of Sweden are cold. Just like Britain is warm because of the ocean current--maybe similar reasons?
More on the Norwegian wind: unless Sweden gets wind blown over from Norway, Norwegian typically refers to Norway related things (language, cities, traditions). If you're referring to the area that includes Sweden and other northern, similar style countries, you might have meant Scandinavian wind. (Scandinavia is a culture/historical area that is made up by Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.)
It's because you said it was an essay, I thought I might point out a few things in case you were handing this in for something. (You said you were studying Swedish culture, so I thought the essay might be for school.)
:)
And yep! Vikings were waaaaaaay before America was formed.
