I named him Tranl, it's the second and the last of my skins yelloe inspired, like my Ejoned, but from Honestly or Siren, I appreciate a lot the yelloe's work, so from Ejoned, what changed :
-the difference between the lightest and the darkest color is smallest,
-the global colors are darker
-lesser contrast between the darkest colors, because in Ejoned, there was a big obvious difference with the borders of the clothes and we clearly could see diff between 3 darkest colors, the 6 medium ones and the 6 lightest colors.
-And in that skin, I wasn't blocked by an auto-imposed palette, but I used what seemed to be the better choice for every pixel.

The only thing I'm not rlly happy about is the coat which is on his shoulders, the final texture is good, it looks like a wool coat, but it wasn't my objective

I think this kind of skin is the best for practicing. U'll understand how to use degraded, contrasts, and how to create a texture with only one color.

So I believe that the best way to improve the quality of ur skins is to try to do some in the style of what already exists and ofc to observ and to inspire from the masters of skins, like -Baron, Nighthearted, yelloe etc.
