My current interpretation of the Reluctant Follower (otherwise known as 'Vanny'), an unseen character from FNaF VR: Help Wanted.
"There's no miscommunication... I understand... Yes, I have it. I made it myself." says the Reluctant Follower, in response to the Glitchtrap Plushy. It would appear that even if the police never managed to catch William Afton out for his crimes, others were still very much aware of what he did. Whether this devotee of Afton was obsessed with him to begin with, or only recently got possessed by him through the game, it's safe to say we've got implications of a cult surrounding the man behind the murders himself.
But who exactly is this mystery follower? Does she work for Silver Parasol Games? Do we already know her name? The current theory goes that 'Vanny' is a mix of her real name (Vanessa?) and 'bunny'. If you ask me though, I think Vanny may have just been the name of the character represented by the mask to begin with.
When reading into the fact that the franchise's story was going in this direction, I was admittedly a little skeptical at first. To me FNaF existed as a secret between it's killer, victims and others associated with the plot. But as I see it now, this story has always been about trying things that other horror games haven't dared to try yet; and that for me is a reminder of how unique of a trip this game series has been thus far and continues to live up to that.
Like Seam, this skin is subject to change based on future reference from teasers and ingame appearances. Although, if this happens to rack up a few diamonds or so, I aught to keep it posted. 'till then, here's to excitement for FNaF AR, and the AAA game coming next year!
