Rydia is the only survivor of Baron's raid on the village of Mist, and the world's sole remaining summoner. She has the power to call upon powerful entities, such as her late mother's Mist Dragon, to aid her in battle. Though initially distrustful of the men who defeated her mom's prized eidolon, Rydia would eventually grow close to Cecil and Kain. As she grew, she would become a valuable asset on their quest to stop Golbez and his cronies from misusing the Crystals. What she has in sheer variety of magic, she lacks in raw power... at least, for now.
