Take a moment to take it all in; you're looking at Magical Princess Minky Momo, the grandmother of the modern magical girl anime. Her 1980's shoujo anime series was obscenely popular, and despite numerous... controversies, it still enjoys a cult following to this day.
The synopsis is simple enough. Young Momo is a princess from cosmic fairy tale paradise Fenarinarsa. Her people keep watch over the denizens of Earth, blessing them from afar with happy dreams and good fortune. But as the Earthlings' faith in their dreams begins to waver, the land of dreams begins to physically drift away from Earth, cutting off contact with them. As a last resort, little Momo is sent to Earth by her parents, the rulers of Fenarinarsa, to help the Earthlings in any way she can. And with her magic wand that can transform her into an adult of varying occupations, she'll have people believing again in no time!
The Famicom adaptation (which never saw an English release, try to be shocked) takes the form of a simple adventure game starring the titular princess. True to the show, it follows her efforts to restore peace and happiness in the world by performing odd jobs and favours for the townsfolk. Essentially, it's a lot of walking with occasional minigames. Fitting enough. If that's your cup of tea, and you wanna immerse yourself in a little anime history (and you read Japanese), do give it a look!
Just, y'know, look both ways before crossing the street.
