Yui is Mai's younger twin sister. In the VRMMORPG NewWorld Online, they both used all of their status points to max out their strength/attack, so no one wanted them to join their party/guild. After Maple formed a guild with her friends, she decided to have Yui and Mai join her guild. They become good friends in the anime.
