Recently I have been trying to find my style. Something that is intrinsically me. This is why I have been starting so many packs. I believe one of the most important things to do on your journy as an artist is to find your comfort zone, your style; something you can get excited about and keep working with.
I've been a doodler all my life and sometime around 7th grade I discovered that I prefer how pens feel in my hand. Now, 13 or so years later I still find myself drawn to pen and ink drawings. Thus I decided to make a texture pack with this method.
Unlike many of the other handdrawn packs I do not draw on graph paper. Instead I draw on art paper laid over a grid drawn in black sharpie. The textures are drawn as an outline first with a ballpoint pen and then colored and shaded with sharpies. After that I scan them and put them in photoshop in order to edit for tiling.
