I made a different one of this, but it turned to be a failure, so I decided to try again, still couldn't get it perfect, but it's good enough, the problem I was having was I couldn't change the shield position, so here it is, fixed mostly, if I figure out how to fix the position thing, I will update the pack, if you have any ideas feel free to comment them, criticism is welcomed so long as there's no hostility.



To add it to Minecraft, just open the file and it should add it to your list of resource packs.



This pack changes the appearance and model of the shield so that it fits perfectly on the left arm, still working on making it fit the right arm.






Do as you wish with it, just make sure to credit me!

does it work with banner thats a thing most shield i found didnt should add a pic if does or dosnt to let ppl know

i don't know what you're referring to but if its a texture pack then no it wouldn't. if its altering the texture of the shield it likely wouldn't work either, since i had to custom make the texture for the model

i looked into the animation files for the shield, from what i could tell it only adjusted relative to the shields default position, but i could check again, i was tired when i was making this pack. thanks for the advice!

the reason i have it saying its 95% complete, is because i still haven't worked out making it so it works the same in both offhand and mainhand, and i'm unsure there is a way.
