Better Maps is a resource pack that retextures maps, changes map colors to better match the terrain, and adds different map variants to help customize and keep track of your maps. The 32x version also increases the resolution of items and map icons.
Map Customization:
Here is a table of what can be included in a map's name to change your map's item texture (this does not change the color of the map itself). Everything is case insensitive and spaces are wildcards (eg. Light-Blue is valid).
You are free to incorporate this resource pack into your own. I'd appreciate it if you credit me, don't have to.
