If you are looking for a resource pack that makes Minecraft atrocious, you've come to the right place. I am currently learning to use workbench and will soon be able to expand upon this pack, but for now you have things like my favored gravel desert (That's right! Sand is replaced by gravel.).
(I don't know how to post images..)
Or maybe if you are enthusiastic about birch you will love this pack:
(Yeah, don't make fun of me.)
Either way, good luck finding ores!
