Abandoned houses. Peeling paint. Rust, grime, eerie sounds from the overgrown, rotting house. Splintered fences and doors hanging half-open. Essentially, the texture pack is meant to evoke a sort of abandoned suburbia/rural area, and can be used for a creepy "alone in the dark," extreme rustic or post-apocalyptic feel.
Welcome to Derelict! Derelict is a full-conversion texture pack--the items, GUI, terrain and beasts (bar Silverfish, some Nether creatures, Dragons and Squid) are all entirely new. All work is my own (bar the lava animation, which was kindly done for me by Grugsy--thanks again!), some re-appropriated & altered from my other pack, Featherlight. Everything in this texture pack is created from stock, copyright- and royalty-free images taken from sxc.hu, the "stock exchange" stock photo site. If you're looking for free images, I definitely recommend them.
This texture pack is a 64x, meaning you will need to HD patch the game with MCPatcher before the pack will work. If you have errors like bits of portal and fire in the sides of your blocks, it means you didn't run the HD patcher properly. Be sure to back up any mods you have in advance so that you can reinstall them once you've patched Minecraft. If you choose to enable Randommobs, Derelict now supports them!
Do use the art (paintings) included in the pack. You can use them to add real atmosphere to your world: hanging tools, sheet metal, peeling posters, cracked wallpaper, No Trespassing signs, shredded curtains, boarded-up windows and more!

If you wish to share it, please provide your friends with the link above, both to support me with link-clicks and to allow them to download the most up-to-date version of the pack.
If you want to use some of my textures in another pack, PLEASE message me first. I am not okay with my images being used without permission or credit, as I have worked very hard on each one of them. 1.9 Further updates for Minecraft 1.2 Prerelease.
Skins: Cats changed to scruffy strays; Golems added; Villagers wholly remade and zombified villager skins added to zombie skins for Randommobs users. The Stray Dog has been updated to have more realistic, smoother eyes. The sheeps' wool has been improved.
Blocks: The Lamp skin has been added, and is a television; the Glowstone lantern has been immensely improved. Animated Textures Added: The Lamp is a television showing flickering static; the Glowstone is a kerosene lantern that is lit, and the Jack 'o Lantern's lighting now flickers. The Iron Block and Diamond Block textures have been changed into rusted iron blocks and broken televisions, respectively. The Bookshelves are no longer empty, but the books should feel suitably abandoned.
Art & Items: The No Trespassing sign's clipping error has been fixed (paintings). Fire Charges have been modified to look more fiery. Lines over drowning/air supply bubbles have been removed. Boss Health Bar has been added. Missing pixels added back to the Bottle 'o Enchanting. Signs are now easier to read.
