go to %appdata% in your files, go to minecraft, versions, choose what version your texture pack is going to be on, open that file, extract the jar file to (version)/ using winwar or 7zip open up the new file that appeared and copy the assets folder, then go to your resource pack folder, make a new folder (texture pack folder), paste the assets into that folder, open any texture pack you have downloaded and copy the pack.mcmeta and the pack.png and paste that into your new folder open the pack.mcmeta if you want to change the description of your texture pack or edit the pack.png for the logo thing, go to assets, minecraft, textures, and you can edit the textures from there. Any deleted textures won' t remove the items texture from the game, once your done select your assets pack.mcmeta and pack.png and use 7zip or winwar and do "Add to Archive)
