DOOM Custom Items Minecraft Texture Pack
A resource pack inspired by the famous DOOM video game.

About


This resource pack aims to add most of the iconic weapons from the DOOM universe to Minecraft.



The resource pack replaces diamond/netherite swords, axes and shields when renamed correctly in an anvil. This means that both the models and textures of an item will be replaced, resulting in a completely new look for your weapon. It is purely cosmetic, and doesn't give you any other benefits. You can see the specifics in the Contents section below.



Contents:
  • Crucible Sword: Rename a diamond / netherite sword to a name including the text "crucible".
  • Marauder Axe: Rename a diamond / netherite sword / axe to a name including the text "marauder".
  • Marauder's Energy Shield: Rename a shield to a name including the text "energy". The shield is retractable: if you equip it, a small item will appear on your forearm, and the shield will come out from it.



Requirements: OptiFine (or OptiFabric with working OptiFine) 1.13+!

Installation: Move the ".zip" file to the "...\.minecraft\resourcepacks\" folder. In the game, activate the resource pack and you're good to go!



In Options -> Video Settings -> Quality, set the Custom Items to "On" in order for the resource pack to work properly!

Fixes various issues with the Marauder's Energy Shield:
  • Both Marauder's Energy Shield icons now glow in the GUI as they were intended to.
  • The Marauder's Energy Shield icon is resized and rotated properly in order not to take a huge part away from the player's interface.
  • In third-person view, the Marauder's Energy Shield's position has been adjusted to fix the player's hand clipping through the shield.

Isnt there a .jar version? it aint letting me download it on forge so i would like to know if there is a different way to get it as a .jar

If you're still working on this, is there a way maybe you could make an alternate version of the pack or a seperate named CIT to either make the shield permanently activated or activated when on armor stands

I could, but it would be much less performance friendly. The main focus and goal of my packs is to grant the best visual experience with being performance friendly! In the future I might make an FPS-eating pack as well, we'll see! ^^
