This pack enables users to create their own splash texts, whether for personal use or modpacks.
(Tutorial on customization below)
Features
Customizable splash text through file editing
Simple file format
Can change icon
Very light resource pack
Why use this?
This resource pack allows users to change and manipulate splash texts with ease, with no prior experience in resource pack creation or coding knowledge required.
Use
This resource pack is free to use in personal projects. For use in commercial projects (modpacks), it is greatly appreciated if you credit and provide a link to this page.
Tutorial (Windows)
1. Right-click on the file (in File Explorer or on the desktop) to bring up the menu, then click “Extract All”.
2. Navigate into the extracted file and double-click the “assets” folder at the top.
3. Double-click through each nested folder inside “assets” until you find “splashes.txt”, then open it with Notepad.
4. Each line of text is treated as a separate splash text. Press Enter to go to the next line. Minecraft will cycle through these each time the game loads. All vanilla splash texts will be replaced by the ones you input.
5. (Optional) To change the pack icon shown in the game’s resource pack menu, navigate back to the first layer of the resource pack files and replace “pack.png” with any square image. Rename it to “pack.png” when finished.
6. (Optional) To change the pack description shown below the pack name in the resource pack menu, navigate back to the first layer of the resource pack files and open “pack.mcmeta”. Change the description text within the quotation marks.
