ℹ️ - USAGE/INSTRUCTIONS

This resourcepack turns the spyglass scope overlay into a functional rangefinder used to determine a player's distance from yourself (in blocks).
THIS IS A VERY ROUGH APPROXIMATION, AND MAY NOT BE 100% ACCURATE
This assumes normal player height (1.8 blocks) and will NOT work on mobs with a different height.
ONCE AGAIN, YOU MUST SET YOUR FOV TO 70 FOR THIS TO WORK
1. Zoom in with spyglass
2. Line up bottom stadia line with target's feet
3. Place vertical line on target. The range marking where the TOP of the target's head is corresponds
to their distance, in blocks.
4. More often than not, the target's head will not line up exactly with a range marking. You can estimate their
distance from where they fall in between the markings. For example, the target's head falls directly in
between the 50 - 75 block mark, so they're ABOUT 60 blocks away
- I'd once again like to reiterate that there is a VISUAL GUIDE in the image gallery if this doesn't make sense.
If you need additional help, or I missed something, feel free to mention it in the comments.

With this being my second post ever, I wanted to see how a functional, downloadable resourcepack would be recieved in comparison to my map. TBH I enjoy making resourcepacks over building, which isn't to say I don't enjoy building,
I just find modeling more enjoyable. Regardless, I'll still continue to make both, since I did mention a mini-series in my map.
Originally, this resourcepack was meant to be paired with the crossbow/bow so that it would determine compensation needed to hit a target from a distance. I attempted it, but realized that, paired with the zoom of the spyglass, the compensation needed for a target just 50 blocks away would have the player aim so high to where the target could not be seen. I decided to continue with the range finding part anyway since I thought it'd be cool. Someday I'll release the intended original version, so follow for that :).
Overall this project took about 1 - 1.5 hours, mostly spent tweaking the scope aesthetic and range heights. As tedious as this was I'm happy with this end result. Why you would need this, I'm not really sure, but here it is.
Edit: for some reason the download wont display the title color formatting correctly but I can't be bothered to change it

Ja, die Sache mit dem Teleskop ist ziemlich gut durchdacht. Sind wir ehrlich, das ist sehr praktisch, zum Beispiel wenn man Gebäude baut oder generell wenn man irgendwie Feinde oder Zombies in der Nähe oder in der Ferne ansieht, das ist praktisch. Und jetzt muss ich nur noch ausprobieren, ob es wirklich auf der praktischen Seite funktioniert, denn soweit ich weiß, kann man damit noch viel anderen Unsinn machen, aber gerade bei PvP oder Multiplayer kann man genau wissen, wo die Leute sind, das ist ziemlich gut, das ist etwas praktischer, als immer nur die verdammten Waffen zu wollen, aber wenn man noch ein paar mehr Dinge daraus macht, wie ein Kartensystem oder wie hier für einen Kompass, dann ist es perfekt, dann muss ich sagen, dann hat man zumindest meinen schönen Überblick über Dinge, die man wirklich nützlich findet, aber großes Lob
