With this light and simple texture pack, you can completely change the bland purple outline tooltip to an oak log like texture PERFECT for fantasy, survival, and epic packs! This texture works for every item and block in the game including modded ones. If you have any questions, I can assist you in the comments.

May I use this in my texture pack, addon, or addon-pack?

As long as you provide credit, go nuts!



Is this compatible with other texture packs, addons, or Dark Themed packs?

Yes! The only cases where this wouldn't be compatible is if the other packs have their own texture for the "purpleBorder.png" in the UI files.


What versions of Minecraft does this resource support?

It supports every version above 1.16. Even when the 1.19 update releases this will most likely still work!

Can you please add both of the tooltips for java, as currently their only modded based. Please as a resource pack and for java

You should do one where it’s the default one but with a slider in the resourcepack settings to change the colour. I think that would be cool

I did a quick search and it looks like you're the first person to do tooltip borders, unless I missed something.



So if there is a way to do this on Java it looks like it hasn't been experimented with on PMC yet. If you do manage to find a way I'm definitely interested

I've been wondering how it works on Java, but so far I can't find how it works. As far as I've read its embedded into Java's code.
