Now updated to load in 1.20 properly! (Can be used on earlier versions, the only thing changed is what version the game *thinks* it is for! Will seriously work on anything with cats in it.)



Took me all of 5 minutes to get very annoyed by the default vanilla cat sounds for stray/tamed cats after booting up 1.16 (hadn't played since 1.12). Half the meows sound distressed or unhappy, and that was... irritating.



I recorded my own cat for 30 seconds and got instantly better audio... perhaps not in quality. Doesn't sound bad. Perhaps a bit quiet (any louder and the audio quality shows).



Just there for anyone who wants to have happier sounding cats... since I couldn't find any packs that did that.

Replaces idle1-4 and meow1-4, every other cat sound is untouched.



You do NOT need my permission to use this in a modpack or any other pack, just do not claim it as your own.




P.S. yes, the pack.png is my cat too. She's very cute.

Thank you so much for this! I found this resource pack last year and just came looking for one that would work in 1.20. This makes having cats around so much more pleasant.

With the way resource packs work, they'll work even if labelled "out of date" unless the path to the sound or texture changes. Updating this every patch is literally just editing a line in the pack text file. lol.

thank you for this. the vanilla untamed cat sounds were very uncomfortable to hear.

Aren't they, though? (Also, this pack will say outdated, but will still load properly in 1.18 if you just put it to the top of the list in loaded resource packs)

Thank you so much, the normal Minecraft cat meows are too high pitched for me and mess with my ears. These ones are so much better.
