It's not truly more difficult, it's just replacing textures to make people not able to tell what things are.
That's not difficulty, it's laziness.

Well I find it difficult, makes it feel as if to mine you actually have to create a mineshaft and mine like in real life. But like I've said before I'm trying to think of more things to change to make it even harder

Is this your original resource pack? Because as I remembered correctly, another person posted the same resouce pack a few months ago. It's either the person discontinued it and gave the resource pack to you so you can continue it, or you're just stealing a resource pack by ignoring copyright.
