The Ingotia resource pack is an attempt to be a complete overhaul of the default texture/resources that improves the over all look and feel of it while still having the same feel. Minecraft creations viewed with the Ingotia resource pack will look better then but not inconsistent with creations being viewed in the default texture pack.

7 Update Logs

Update #7 : by JoWiBro 11/22/2014 3:06:57 pmNov 22nd, 2014

This update includes mainly refinments to existing textures but also includes a big change to the GUI. Due to some feedback and my own preferences I am making some changes to the GUI apearance. The main difference is that it has more of the embossed/chuncky feel of Minecraft's defualt GUI.

For those of you who prefer my first version of the GUI, fear not. I have uploaded a second resource pack specificaly for the fancy GUI. Keep in mind that this other resource pack includes ONLY the GUI elements and nothing else. It is ment to be used in conjunction with this resource pack.

Change Log

  • Improved dirt texture variances
  • Improved all wood log texture variances
  • Tweaked cobblestone textures
  • Tweaked Stonebrick textures
  • Improved the Hopper texture. (still no custom item icon yet)
  • Fixed broken item icons
  • Fixed all textures/models that caused Minecraft launcher warnings
  • New GUI verion 2.0
  • Other texture refinments

This is way too underrated. Seriously, 9 diamonds? C'mon guys, that should be over 90 at least.

I tend to get a lot of download issues with Planet Minecraft. I just updated the resource pack and download link. Please let me know if you have any other issues.

Decided not to do a reply. I opened your pack and noticed there's no pack.mcmeta file.

Also, I'm guessing there needs to be an "assets" folder? I'm not familiar with how to set them up, but when I searched for the problem, these were the things people were saying caused packs to not show up when missing.

Also, when I put a pack.mcmeta into the zipped file (One from another pack), the pack showed up in my list of resource packs, but didn't actually load. Everything was still default. Perhaps this info helps?

Try downloading again and let me know if it works. Also if you want check for the "pack.mcmeta" file and "assets" folder. I think Planet Minecraft has been doing weird things.

Very interesting.

My version does have a "pack.mcmeta" and an "assets" folder. It sounds like either the download is getting corrupted or for some reason Planet Minecraft is downloading to you the old pre Minecraft 1.6 format version I had up before. hmmm. I'll see if there is anything on my end I can do.

Yeah, the one I downloaded was named "Ingotia_Pack_3158363" and lacked either of those files. The one I tried at the time of writing this was just called "Ingotia_Pack" and it contained both files in question.

Looks good now. Works fine. :D Thanks for the assistance.

So I place this into my resource pack folder, but I don't see it come up in the menu. Restarted MC and everything.

Any chance there's a bug with the recent download? Or perhaps an issue on my end?

Hmm. My own version works fine but I will download and test the uploaded version off of PLanet Minecraft to make sure. I wont be able to upload a new version until tomorrow though.
