After looking through a bunch of texture packs that I couldn't completely take to, I decided to try my hand at making my own. Rather than going to an entirely new theme, I wanted to try and improve on the feel Minecraft's default textures. After about a few hours of work, I think I found a decent balance between the original theme and a softer, more realistic feel. Many of the textures are based off photos found on the internet, while some others are direct edits of the Minecraft default textures.
This texture pack is still very early in development, and I hope to spend more time working on this. Many of the default textures remain unedited. For the meantime, I'd like to hear some constructive criticism and suggestions on what I should do next with this. I'll probably end up changing the name of it somewhere along the way.

Ive just spent about half an hour finding this texturepack again just to say that :L

I love this texture pack. The high quality blur makes the game seem very realistic. I think the grass can be trimmed a little and the ores look a little indented too much. Also try de-saturating the wood/planks and make it seem more of a "log cabin" dark feel. Fav'd

Yeah, most of the differences are really subtle. It's more of an improvement on the original textures than anything. I should probably state that more clearly...
