This resource pack only changes the potion particle effect and replaces them with the "ゴゴゴ" or "menacing" from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
It looks great on players and area of effect potions.
This is a 16x16 texturepack to give it a vanilla look since it is just a small aesthetic tweak.
The "menacing" particles change colours depending on the potion effect.

I had a long break from planet minecraft, I'm sorry about that. This works fine in all minecrfat versions that use the "pack format 4" (1.14, 1.15 & 1.16) and that's why I haven't "updated" it to those versions, I'll check in case I'm sharing the wrong file (the 1.8 version) but if that does not solve it check that there is nothing wierd going on with your minecraft (This is a Java texture pack, I have never exported anything for the bedrock edition)

I just thought about it but perhaps you placed another resourcepack that changes paricles on top of this one as you were playing minecrfat. My resourcepack changes nothing but the potion effect particles, you can place it on top of any other pack you may be playing with. :D

Hi, I read your coment and I'm working on it right now, I'm not sure of why exporting the pack to an older version of minecraft but I'm assuming it's because of some mods you don't want to give up. If you want you could subscribe so that you get notificated when I'm done with it.
