The pack says it's made for a newer version. Ignore this and enjoy the red outline.
You gotta unzip the file you download. If the folder you found has three items in it, you got the right one.

A remake of Keys' Gui, making it look better. Maybe not good, but better.

Don't know what Keys' Gui was? Excellent, new audience. You don't need to know.

Takes all interface elements and does some things:

  • Gets rid of most rounded corners, giving windows a squarer look.
  • Smooths out plenty of contrast, so the highlights and shadows aren't as harsh.
  • Eliminates noise. No dirty buttons!
  • Hotbar and Hud elements are a lot less flat and boring and bland and ugly.
  • Things are a tad more colorful :)
  • Some things are stylized. Others aren't. I just liked some things better than others. My own bias over consistency ;)
    • The anvil renaming box looks like a name tag. Enchanting table buttons look like book pages. I probably should have darkened them. The cartography table is all gray, no paper visuals.
  • Buttons are darkened, but are highlighted when the mouse hovers. Some buttons' colors or outlines will be replaced with white on hover.
This resource pack changes everything in the gui folder except the title stuff. I'm not touching any of that.

There's also probably a few things wonk with this pack, so please let me know.

Also i think its the update logs that put this on the Updated page, not anything else.
