A texture pack as long as it's the native resolution of 16x16 does not reduce lag. If you want to reduce lag you will need to make it an 8x8, 4x4, or 2x2. But as it stands does not really make that much of a difference in FPS. At least not one that can be seen very easily.

Simple crafts do not reduce lag at all. If you don't believe me, press F3 and you can view the FPS.

If they are a smaller resolution then yes they do. But if they are the standard 16x16 just like the Minecraft Default texture then it does nothing at all.

A lot of texture packs only claim to be 8x8 or 4x4; When I open them up, they are really just 16x16. If you find me a texture pack that is actually 4x4 I will believe you.

The website is not letting me delete my excess posts for some reason.

Yeah it just posted like 4 times. Only hit that button once or it does that. The site it kind of laggy. And I think I've seen 1 pack that was actually a 2x2 but for all I know it was still a 16x16.
