Loy Krathong is a Thai festival held on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month. It is a time to show respect and apologize to the Goddess of Water, Phra Mae Khongkha. People release small, handmade floats made from banana leaves, flowers, and candles into rivers. It is believed to be a way of letting go of misfortune and making wishes for happiness.

Creating virtual models of Loy Krathong and sky lanterns for Minecraft is an alternative that helps protect the environment. In reality, releasing krathongs (floating baskets) and sky lanterns can have negative effects on rivers and the air. When krathongs and lanterns are released into the river or sky, they often end up as waste that’s difficult to decompose, leading to polluted rivers and increased environmental pollution.
