the retriever sentinel, a more combat purposed strato-sentinel design, that were made to mine planets, this sentinel is by far my favourite, but... the festering questions only grow deeper, HOW did the flood win, think about it, they had superweapons that could destroy planets, machines that could disentegrate person to a molecular level, why did they lose?

the scarab. one of the oldest, and by far. the most HORRIFYING unit in an RTS game, and by far, the barakuza workshop fortress breaker, version of the scarab (the banished's scarab) is both an awesome design, and the only uber unit in halo wars, to have a second design.

"Many of these Scarabs were deployed by the Banished onto the Ark during the mercenary group's arrival at the installation. At least one Scarab was deployed during the initial assault on the UNSC research outposts on the Ark on November 25, 2558.

Following the arrival of the long-lost UNSC Spirit of Fire at the Ark in March, 2559, and the subsequent conflict between the Banished and the UNSC, a number of Scarabs were deployed against the human forces. Following the failure of numerous assault waves to wipe out a UNSC base defended by Spartan Alice-130 and other forces, a single Scarab was unleashed as a final attempt by the Banished to crush the human opposition. Arriving on the beachhead after travelling underwater, the Scarab proceeded to attack the UNSC defenders. Despite its best efforts, the Scarab was destroyed by the UNSC forces, forcing the Banished to retreat. Later in the battle, as Banished forces poured onto the newly created Halo installation in order to wrest control from the Spirit of Fire, Sangheili Honor Guardsman Orda Val 'Saham was overseeing the repair of a damaged Scarab on the surface of the ring. UNSC forces under the command of Douglas-042 led an assault on the repair team, seeking to commandeer the Scarab in order to destroy a number of Banished barricades and bases in the area. Despite 'Saham's best efforts to stop the attackers, the Honor Guardsman and his forces soon fell allowing Douglas-042 to board and take control of the Scarab. While the Scarab's focus cannon was functional, its Thrasher missiles were offline forcing other UNSC forces to protect the Scarab from aerial assaults. Using the Scarab, Douglas-042 was able to destroy a number of barricades, as well as numerous Banished bases and large amounts of vehicles and infantry protecting the access point the Banished were using to deploy forces onto the ring.[8] As Professor Anders attempted to deactivate Installation 09's firing mechanism, UNSC forces fought to defend against masses of Banished attackers in order to buy her time. Atriox first sent a single Scarab along with one of the assault waves but it was soon destroyed by the human forces including a Condor gunship. As the intense battle continued, three Scarabs were deployed at once as a last-ditch effort to wipe out the humans. Despite the overwhelming firepower from the Scarabs, they were ultimately bested by the UNSC forces and the Halo ring successfully transitioned into slipspace. Furious with his defeat, Atriox observed what remained of his forces, which still consisted of a sizable armada, including a number of Scarabs.

Several months after the launch of the Halo ring Atriox, seeking to gain the upper hand against the crew of the Spirit of Fire in their ongoing battle, dispatched a force led by Jiralhanae brothers Voridus and Pavium to scout the ruined shell of High Charity for useful technologies. A Scarab was deployed to assist in destroying natural barricades and Sentinels guarding the quarantined wreckage of the former Covenant holy city. Succeeding in clearing the way, Voridus used the Scarab's focus cannon to blast a hole in the containment shield, inadvertently releasing the Flood trapped within..."

the collossus, one of my borderline favourite mechs in halo, its awesome, and its iconic for all mechs in halo!

The Colossus is a superheavy vehicle unit which can be deployed by Sergeant Johnson in place of the Scorpion. It is relatively slow, but fitted with a devastating arsenal, capable of taking down almost any foe. The Colossus' primary weapon is a long-range heavy railgun, a massive weapon originally designed for installation on fortified structures. While the rail cannon can only target ground units, its autocannon has an all—environment engagement profile. After upgrades the Colossus can use Stomp, sending out a shockwave that stuns and damages enemy ground units.

The Colossus is a next—generation exoskeleton combat unit designed by Materials Group and Hannibal Weapon Systems for the UNSC Army. Isabel retains its manufacturing templates from her supply-chain training on Earth, though manufacturing these massive combat machines represents a considerable burden on the Spirit of Fire's supplies. Sergeant Johnson claims to have acquired the materials for his Colossus units via the classic Marine Corps logistical expediency of 'borrowing' equipment that isn't nailed down [or couldn't be pried free], but his actual source for these machines is a mystery wrapped in an enigma, protected by shield generators and several tons of Titanium—A armor plating."

the grizzly! one of my favourite tanks in modern media, by the way, you never get to actually pilot it in a first person game, the only time, is in halo: spartan assault.

"The M850 Grizzly, first manufactured in 2509, is not as old as Chalybs Defense Solutions' better-known, more widely deployed M808 Scorpion, which has been in service since 2218. The origins of the Grizzly are shrouded, due to maneuverings by many competing bureaucratic and corporate interests within the UNSC at the time of its development. The Grizzly quickly found a niche with Army and Marine units despite initial skepticism and the logistical challenges of transporting it. The Grizzly proved invaluable both as an anti-armor vehicle and a mobile fortress that could drive straight into the heart of insurrection positions and outgun any rebel armored vehicles. The beginning of the Human-Covenant War cemented the Grizzly’s reputation as the bane of enemy armored vehicles. On the open field the Grizzly was practically unstoppable, and often forced the Covenant to deploy naval assets in order to decisively end the threat that even one or two tanks could cause to their staging areas and supply columns

The UNSC Spirit of Fire carried a large complement of Grizzlies, largely due to the preferences of Sergeant John Forge, who turned the tanks' acquisition into a personal project of his.[9] The Grizzly was notably deployed during the Harvest campaign, during which it performed exceptionally. While investigating a Forerunner structure on Harvest in early February 2531, a platoon of Marines assigned to the UNSC Spirit of Fire, as well as Professor Ellen Anders, were attacked by Covenant forces. Two Grizzlies, which had been personally upgraded by Sergeant Forge, were sent to the structure to rescue the survivors. They made their way through several Covenant blockades, killing dozens of infantry and destroying large amounts of matériel while sustaining very little structural damage. As Anders and Forge were airlifted from the site, the Grizzlies remained behind to cover their escape.

On February 23, 2531, Spirit of Fire was suddenly drawn toward the interior of Trove; three platoons remained groundside, prompting the crew to attempt a hasty retrieval operation. Alpha Platoon was escorted by a Grizzly, which was used to provide cover fire for the Marine infantry as they fought numerous Flood forms. Though the Marines were highly susceptible to infection while on foot, those inside the sealed cockpit of the tank were immune; this allowed the MBT's crew to clear a path for the infantry and other vehicles, who eventually arrived at a hastily established firebase. When the survivors reached the evacuation zone, the tank was presumably left behind.

Grizzly tanks were utilized during the Battle of Mombasa in 2552 by an ODST squad, when they were ordered to destroy Covenant shield generators and help pinned-down marines recover vital intel.

The M850 saw limited use later in the war. This was not due to poor performance, as the Grizzly was considered to be very powerful and reliable. Rather, it was due to the tank's exorbitant cost, stringent maintenance requirements, relative difficulty of transportation, and the remaining heavy-lift spacecrafts were tasked for high-priority reconstruction. After the Human-Covenant War, several Army units maintained Grizzly units for planetary defense. Several Grizzlies were used in the Battle of Draetheus V against Merg Vol's Covenant in 2554.
