Does it cost money for 512x512? If so is it monthly or one time payment?

yes, you have to pay for the 512x512 version, it is a monthly payment, you get the older updates of the pack, and the monthly updates of the pack for the period you subscribed to the pack on. When the subscription ends, you get to keep the pack, but you won't get newer versions which include addition of more blocks, and tweaking and changing of some blocks. the 32x pack can be handled by a low end computer, higher resolutions might cause some problems, you will also need shaders which will increase the lag. Better try it and see how it goes since i am not sure of your specs
