You can change whether your sword appears as a katana or not by the following

to get the katana's simple rename a sword as (sword type) Katana


(or a little simpler, in an anvil put a sword of any type into an anvil and rename it to one of the following



Wooden sword -> Wood Katana

Stone sword -> Stone Katana

Iron sword -> Iron Katana

Golden sword -> Golden Katana

Diamond sword -> Diamond Katana

Netherite sword -> Netherite Katana

You just need to rename a sword as what the sword type is in an anvil and then katana for example if i wanted to use a diamond sword it would be "Diamond Katana" or if its a wooden sword its "Wood Katana"
