Mellowed is a 16x resource pack that aims to stay as loyal as possible to the vanilla textures while overhauling the game for a softer, cozier, and dare I say more mellow aesthetic.
Do you enjoy the color palette and aesthetic of cottagecore packs like Mizuno's or Kova but don't like that your vanilla builds may look different?
Do you want relaxing desaturated tones and smooth photos like your favorite shader pack but don't want to take the FPS hit?
My Process
Mellowed seeks to work within the bounds of vanilla Minecraft, instead of drawing something from a blank canvas textures have been carefully tweaked. The hues and contrast of textures have been changed to create something unique yet familiar.
My goal is to take the softening of textures from 1.13 to the next level, and making greater changes only when necessary.
You can think of this as the "Ship of Theseus" of Resource Packs.
Here Be Dragons
This project is still in very early Beta, only a small percentage of textures have currently been tweaked and these early beta versions exist primarily as a way to gather feedback from all of you who give it a shot and download anyway.
While in beta this project will receive many regular updates, if you want to keep up with each update be sure to follow the project on Modrinth or Curseforge, or give it a heart here on PMC for the bigger less frequent updates.
