♪ An all-girls cute villager resource pack, I hope you love them as much as I do. ♡
~ This pack is still not fully done and is currently in early access. I will continue to update it slowly.

(I've been working on the pack every day since exams are over and streaming it every day. Major updates are on Discord )

[!IMPORTANT]

- You need OptiFine 1.19.2 HD U I1 or higher for this resource pack to work.
- [​EMF] Entity Model Features mod is not recommended with this pack due to multiple issues.

- The baby villagers are broken for Optifine versions 1.21.4 and above! *as of this day 14/04/2025* (I sadly could not fix this but I think it's an Optifine issue)
- The wandering traders sounds are completely silent for minecraft java versions 1.21.2 and above *as of this day 14/04/2025* (my guess is this seems to be an issue with minecraft itself and not optifine). Please delete the wandering_trader folder located in "Melodys_Cute_Villagers_v0.9.1\assets\minecraft\sounds\mob\wandering_trader".


‿︵‿୨ Introduction ୧‿︵‿
  This pack is very dear to me, my aim with this pack is to enhance villagers and give them a wider variety to give them a sense of life and personality. I hope you love them as I do.

  This pack is still not fully done and won't be released until I add the main concepts I want it to have. It will continue to be updated perhaps at a slow rate as I am a student. Nonetheless, I have so many ideas I still want to add. I might make it free after I am fully done so make sure to join my discord and follow my socials to keep up!

  Suggestions, input, bug reports, and general feedback are highly appreciated. I want to know what you guys think so let me know on my Discord server!

‿︵‿୨ Clarifications ୧‿︵‿
  - Please know that Minecraft has 7 default type villagers (Snow, Plains, Swamp, Jungle, Taiga, Savanna, Desert). Some of the villager types in this pack (blossom, hills, aliens, sunflower, mushroom, etc) are NOT real villager types and by that, I mean that they are usually one of the default type villagers (most are plains). For example, blossom villagers are actually just plains villagers that have spawned in the cherry grove biome and that data is saved in Optifine and not Minecraft. (Check default variants here)

  - Note: You can rename "pack.png" to something else and rename "pack2.png" to "pack.png" to have the pink girl as the pack icon.

‿︵‿୨ Reconmended ୧‿︵‿

- I prefer to use this pack with "Mizuno's 16 Craft Resource Pack" (but inside mizunos folder delete all the villager and witch files and any files that this pack overwrites).

- The preferred shaders are "Sildrus Shaders" in the overworld/nether and "Complementary Shaders Reimagined" in the end world.

- All other mobs besides villagers, wandering trader and witches have not been edited from the original and are included to match the theme of this pack
- I have heavily changed, optimized, separated, and redid, all the textures/files/models/scripts and spent over 2 years sketching ideas and physically working on this project to bring more variety of villagers and enhance them.
- Voice files added by me for all mobs.
- The original creator is said to have abandoned this pack and the Java porters struck out the "do not distribute" text as shown below and stated editing is allowed with credit given which I have done.

It works well on 1.21.1. nice mod. I don't like OptiFine, so I ran it in a NeoForge environment and it works well.

That's great! Can you tell me which mods you used instead of Optifine to run the texture pack?

I'm using the Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) mods with Sodium for optimization. The description says EMF isn’t recommended, but it works fine on my setup, so I haven’t paid much attention to that. I haven’t run into any issues when using these mods alone — even the sound works without any problems. That said, when I use them with other resource packs (which sadly also require OptiFine), I occasionally run into issues where the resource pack doesn’t load properly. Restarting the game or trying a few times (usually around three) tends to fix it. So far, I haven’t seen any problems when using the mod by itself.

Sounds promising. Although I wonder if the issues I encountered are still there. Such as the blinking not working and using the wrong profession texture sometimes (such as the case of using the master blossom librarian texture for all blossom librarian levels and the same for the farmer elf). I haven't fully testing it on EMF/ETF so I don't know what other issues there are.

This should work for the newer Minecraft versions after 1.19.2 (while using optifine's HD U I1 and above of course). So it should work for version 1.20.1 of Minecraft. You just need to ignore the warning when adding the resource pack.
