I got a little bored of the standard saplings and thought replacing them with tree nuts & seeds would be fun!
This idea ofc isn't 100% original, but I wanted to throw my take on it out there.
Oak Sapling → Sprouting Acorn (White Oak)
Dark Oak Sapling → Dark Oak Acorn (Eastern Black Oak)
Spruce Sapling → Pinecone
Birch Sapling → Birch Catkin
Acacia Sapling → Wattleseed
Jungle Sapling → Jungle Peapod (Angelim tree seed pod)
Cherry Blossom Sapling → Cherry Blossom Fruit
Apple → Acorn
Golden Apple → Golden Acorn
Enchanted Golden Apple → Enchanted Golden Acorn

🍂 FAQ
Can this resource pack be used with other resource packs?
Yes. This resource pack should not interfere with other resource packs in your folder. It will not overwrite anything except other sapling/apple textures.
I enabled this resource pack, but it isn't working. The textures won't appear. What do I do?
1. Ensure that the file is unzipped (extracted). Occasionally, zipping a folder to make it downloadable can obstruct the file
directory so the game can't read the textures. There should be no extra folder between "resourcepacks", "Mink's Tree Nuts",
and "assets" (where the textures are stored). If there's a duplicate folder (usually copying the name of the resource pack), delete it so there's only one. Make sure you don't delete the folder with all the assets in it!
2. Ensure that my resource pack is sitting at the top of your active resource packs list. If another resource pack in your list is one that also replaces the textures of saplings & apples, it'll overwrite my resource pack with its own textures.
I have the same problem as the above, but my game becomes unresponsive before returning to default textures. What's happening?
There are two possibilities:
A. Something in the resource pack itself isn't working,
or
B. Your computer isn't strong enough to handle the resource pack, and is automatically de-selecting it to prevent a crash or other
issues.
In the case of A, please send me a message on any of my active socials! I'll ask for a direct copy of your resource pack files so I can take a look and hopefully fix it for you.
In the case of B, Since my resource pack is so small and unintensive, this may be the result of you having too many resource packs and/or mods at the same time. Try going into your game launcher under "JVM Arguments", and increase the RAM your game is allowed to use up to 4G or higher. The default amount of RAM Minecraft allocates itself is 2G, which isn't enough for intensive amounts of mods & resource packs!
If this doesn't work (or you've already done this), you may have to remove some of your other mods/packs, or it may be time to upgrade your hardware.
Does this resource pack require OptiFIne?
No. This resource pack does not add any OptiFine-reliant models or textures. You may use this resource pack in vanilla Minecraft.
I have another question that isn't listed here. How do I contact you?
You can contact me via any of my active socials (linked in my profile), or send me a message here on PMC. I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can!
