I am having some trouble getting the pack to work. When I put in the the resource pack folder, it doesn't show up in game. I even deleted it and tried installing it again, but it still won't show as one of my available resource packs in the game. Does it need to be extracted or go in a different folder?

Oh, you know this may or may not be an Optifine thing. Maybe try with Optifine. Sorry for such a late response.

very cute idea! reminded me of an old pumpkin carving contest results photo-- the pumpkin that won was almost completely untouched, except for a very tiny smile in the center :D
