Slowness is a virtue. Just drag it out of the texturepack file. It's SUPPOSED to replace the original textures you newb.

You don't understand. The default texture pack is gone, these textures replaced the original terrain.png!

I'm not sure what the problem is, try changing your Terrain.PNG back to the original, sorry for the unexpected problem, and i'm sorry you didn't enjoy the pack!
