NEWPORT Pack is an exclusive texture pack, handmade with the intentions of bringing a whole new feel to the Minecraft gaming experience whilst still remaining familiar to Default.


All of the blocks you know and love were taken, one by one, and edited with hue, lightness + saturation tools, giving the entire texture pack a "washed out" look.


Every ore from coal to diamond has been completely redesigned to ensure you experience an entirely altered, more exciting mining expedition. You can also enjoy mining with sleeker tools.


Many blocks were de-saturated and/or neutralized, making almost all blocks correspond with each other no matter where you place them.


And finally, an enhanced GUI completely transforms the way you play Minecraft. A more minimalistic, easier to use, GUI layout makes crafting, smelting and everything in between twice as rewarding. Not to mention you'll see your XP points racking up in rainbow colours, all thanks to an entirely redesigned XP bar.

With the 1.7.2 update came many new blocks and textures, here's a list of alterations made to NEWPORT to fit with the latest update.

  • Added new Podzol texture.
  • Added new Red Sand texture.
  • Added new textures for ALL new flowers.
  • Added new textures for ALL double plants.
  • Added new Mushroom texture
  • Added new textures for Pufferfish, and Salmon.
  • Added new textures for Acacia and Dark Oak logs.
  • Added new textures for Acacia and Dark Oak saplings.
  • Added new textures for Stained Glass.
  • Edited textures for all Quartz blocks.
  • Edited Dispenser.
  • Edited Coal Ore to look less dense.
  • Edited Daylight Censors.
  • Edited Sand texture
  • Edited Iron Block.
  • Edited Ice block (nowseamless)
  • Edited Oak, Birch and Spruce log textures (now seamless)

I tried working on a 32 x 32 version of NEWPORT but it proved very difficult to retain the smoothness and simplicity with that many pixels. Maybe in future I could work out a way to make a 32 x 32 version though!
