OdarIs Foliage

Fuller trees, denser forests.

OdarIs Foliage is an optional add-on for the OdarIs Resource Pack that gives tree foliage more depth and volume.

Instead of completely changing the shape of Minecraft trees, the add-on builds on their familiar appearance with additional foliage detail. Forests feel denser and more natural while still looking like Minecraft.

The first release focuses on enhancing tree foliage across the environments currently covered by OdarIs.

Foliage is designed to work naturally with the Base Pack and preserve Minecraft's recognizable tree shapes while adding more depth when viewed both up close and from a distance.

Requirements

OdarIs Base is required.

Foliage should be placed above the Base Pack and all lower-numbered OdarIs add-ons in the Minecraft resource-pack list.

Recommended load order:
40 — OdarIs Foliage
31 — OdarIs Random Overlay
30 — OdarIs Overlay
20 — OdarIs Random Blocks
10 — OdarIs Base
Lower numbers go below, higher numbers go above.

You do not need to use the other optional add-ons to use Foliage.

OdarIs Packs

The OdarIs project is split into a Base Pack and several optional add-ons:

• 10 — OdarIs Base — the main pack and the base for all other add-ons.
• 20 — OdarIs Random Blocks — adds different texture variations to selected blocks to make repeated surfaces less noticeable.
• 30 — OdarIs Overlay — adds small plants and extra details to grass surfaces.
• 31 — OdarIs Random Overlay — provides matching overlays for textures used by Random Blocks.
• 40 — OdarIs Foliage — gives trees fuller foliage and makes forests feel denser.

You do not need to use every add-on. Just enable the ones you like.

Resolutions

Random Blocks is available in the same seven resolutions as the Base Pack:

32x • 64x • 128x • 256x • 512x • 1024x • 2048x

Use the same resolution as your OdarIs Base Pack for the most consistent result.

Downloads

The direct Planet Minecraft download contains:
OdarIs Random Blocks — 256x — Alpha 0.1
For 32x, 64x, 128x, 512x, 1024x and 2048x versions, use the Alternate Download link to the official OdarIs Curseforge page.

Compatibility

• Minecraft Java Edition
• No required mods
• Works with vanilla Minecraft
• Compatible with shader packs
• Designed to work together with other OdarIs add-ons

Shaders are optional. The appearance of the overlays can vary depending on the shader pack and its settings.

Installation

1. Download OdarIs Base and OdarIs Foliage in the same resolution.
2. Open Minecraft.
3. Go to Options → Resource Packs.
4. Click Open Pack Folder.
5. Move both [.zip] files into the resource-pack folder. Do not extract them.
6. Enable both packs.
7. Place 40 — OdarIs Foliage above 10 — OdarIs Base.

What does it change?

Foliage adds extra depth and volume to tree leaves, making individual trees feel fuller and large forests look less flat.

The goal is not to redesign Minecraft's trees, but to enhance their existing shapes while keeping them recognizable and consistent with the rest of OdarIs.

Future Updates

Alpha 0.1 is only the beginning.

Future versions will expand foliage support as more trees, biomes, and blocks are added to OdarIs.

The goal will remain the same: make forests feel richer and more natural without losing Minecraft's original character.
