Opaque HUD is a texture pack to make the HUD of the player opaque for whatever reason your heart desires.



This does not affect inventory/menu/block GUIs.



Affected Folders:
  • <texture_pack>/assets/minecraft/textures/gui/sprites/hud (ALL FILES)
  • <texture_pack>/assets/minecraft/textures/gui/sprites/boss_bar (ALL FILES)

Affected Files:
  • <texture_pack>/assets/minecraft/texts/splashes.txt

How The Files Are Affected:
  • The files have been altered solely by lowering the files alpha levels from 255 -> 166

Future Goals:
  • Add opacity to the XP number displayed above the XP bar. If anyone knows how to change that, please leave a comment or message me. Thank you.

opacity is the opposite of transparency, so this pack should probably be called transparent hud... the vanilla hud is already opaque except for parts of the hotbar

actually, the word you're looking for is translucent! :3 transparency would be if the hud were completely invisible. translucency is when you can still see it, but you can also see through it! :33

this reminds me of how, in the ps3/xbox 360 edition days, the hotbar would go semi-translucent when it was not used :0 ive been searching for a pack like this for ages, thank you 🔥
