What is it?
Particle Fade is a core shader resource pack for Minecraft Java 1.19 that makes particles fade away when they are close to the camera.
Inspiration
I really liked the particle fade effect that is in Complimentary shaders so I replicated it using vanilla core shaders.
Note:
This pack uses dithering to ensure that all particles in the game can be "transparent" , even ones that can't normally be partially transparent. This has the fortunate side effect of smoke particles no longer making clouds invisible (see images above)
Config
The pack config is located in /assets/minecraft/shaders/core/include/particle_fade_config.glsl . The settings are explained within the file.
