Simple texture packs like this shouldn't even be allowed, but that's my opinion.

I repsectfully disagree. Simple texture packs are useful, and there are people looking for them. Like me, for example. When you are doing pixel art, you might not want the texture pack adding arbitrary detail that you didn't ask for. Simple blocks are the answer to that problem.

The only trouble with them is that with 8x8 there is only so much you can do before the possibilities start repeating themselves. But I do not see that as a reason to exclude them.
