I tried it out, and it is REALLY well made. The old planks are really nice, the netherrack is pretty decent, the cobble, dirt paths, etc. EVERYTHING is done at the same level of quality, which is high. It's probably the best overall programmer art remaster pack I've seen.
While their cobble is one of the best I've ever seen, I do prefer my own still... Not just because I put effort into making it, I just like the slightly flatter look and the more noisy/granular lighting (which also reminds me more of the original).
Anyway, for anyone seeing this, try out "Vintage - Remastered Programmer Art". Is good :]
also maybe make the top part more fluent and organic because it looks warpy in the thumbnail
The programmer art texture looks similarly warped there, probably the person who made it was having trouble making it tile well (beta cobble even awkwardly cuts off a stone in that same spot).
This cobblestone texture is meant to be instantly recognizable and faithful, to the point that you can mistake it for the original programmer art version until you look closely. I didn't want to add any style, just tried to mimic the original texture.
Most programmer art cobblestone remakes end up being super polished or change the shape/location of the stones a lot. The end result is that they end up not actually looking like the programmer art cobblestone at all, just an alternate modern cobblestone texture. I thought, "why reinvent the wheel?". So I sacrificed a bit of polish and style in order to make my polished cobblestone more faithful to the original.
