I think you've come up with an alright idea, but it was executed terribly. Think about rainbows, they are usually next to some clouds. Instead of making grass look like diarrhea, make it a light 'puffy' white texture. (and so that it tiles correctly)

Im not sure about other blocks, this is a difficult texture pack to make.

I must agree that the concept is both good and original, while you really need to work on tiling and textures. It is still good though.
