Welcome to Retro 8-bit Texture pack, It is a 8-bit pack which means this pack uses 4 colors per sprite. This pack is great for sprite art. If you scroll though you will see a couple of examples. This bright and colorful pack is finished but also has updates about once to twice a month if i feel something needs improvement and even quicker with snapshots. There is a change log below if you like to read it. If you like what you see here please give a diamond it really helps, thanks. :)

2-25-16 I have turned the Gui green to match Retro 16-bits style

7-15-15 A change log for older versions the pack as been added in the pack's files and a small particle bug has been corrected.

1-11-15 Steve and Alex now have new sprites, the Dragons wings glow like her eyes, all Rail parts are now silver, Armor stand sprite is now 8-bit. Pumpkin helment has now be altered to see a bit easier.

11-14-14 Update again (I know a lot this month) I redesigned the Fire animation completly. Also particles have more outlines now, oh and heres the biggest edit the Standard Galactic Alphabet has been Translated into English in this pack. :)

11-13-14 New Wood and door colors.

11-3-14 Nether Qartz Ore now has white stones.

10-21-14 Small update Brewing stand now new colors.

10-8-14 Sapplings now match the leaf colors along with Vines having more shading and the brewing stand being brighter.

9-26-14 Made a small error with the waters transparcncy. Now fixed.

9-25-14 I redid the Animation for flowing water and both lava and lava flowing.

9-7-14 I forgot to make a graphic for the locked diffuclty setting now fixed.

9-2-14 the 1.8 beta for the pack is now over. I have made some small changes, Now the signs have a nice border around them and the black and white patched bunny now has black eyes instead of dark pink. I also had to tweak the sheep, due it not following the 4 color rules with its eyes. There are now two enchanting tables in the files the 1.7 one that has to be installed manually (instructions in the pack). Steve has also been updated to 1.8.

8-14-14 New update, All things for 14w33a, I also tweaked the Creeper and Skeleton flag pattern to fit the pack better its not a huge change.

7-30-14 Turns out there was a snapshot with banners I forgot about so i updated the pack again. I was thinking about tweaking the patterns to match the 8-bit style but im not sure what do you guys think. Also the wheat is still yellow at stage 7 growth.

7-30-14 Small upate wheat stage 7 growth is now yellow. This makes it eaiser to tell when to harvest.

7-4-14 (happy 4th of july btw) I decided to redo all the ender mobs because I felt they were lower quality. Also spiders having glowing heads is fixed. If you have the same kind of problem with your own pack you made or someone elses i have instructions how to fix that at the botom of the posts.

14w25b is here so everything for that has been added as of 7-3-14.

NEW Underwater Dungeon stuff textured, Prismarine stuff as well. Everything from 14w25a is done in 8-bit. Also sponge texture has been changed. 6-19-14.

Hi, Everyone no new textures at the momment, I've been waiting for new snapshots to come out with new stuff, however I made a World of wool on a minecraft server so i thought i show thouse pictures. Wool and clay are both great for this pack. When it comes to pixel art I strongly suggest using clay in this pack because its a soild color, but in the screenshots i decided to use wool because of carpets. I hope you like them. 6-14-14

5-2-14 small update, the horses now have there patterns back when they spawn.

4-28-14 New Title screen background and menu background, Splash potion has a outline now All things for snapshot 14w17a. Minecraft realms logo turned 8-bit.

4-11-14 All items have outlines and horse armor icon is done.

3-21-14 NEW grass,snow,sands and podzel.

3-14-13 Endermite included! :D its in the screenshot wheel :)

3-12-14 I have decided to redo the wool and clay for better pixel art, I also updated the brick item and the plan quartz block so it does not look just like the white clay block.

3-10-14 the pack has now have had updated paintings and they are showed the side show I be a bit washed out for some reason.

2-18-14 the fish update is now available, Also the Gui has been changed a tad nothing you would most likely have not seen it unless you use twitch or beacon, Also I forgot the fish from 1.7 update oops, Anyways I ave them fixed now. Also the iron trap door is all set for 1.8. and the lever had its texture updated to look like other items with a outline, this makes it the only texture that's 32x32, just thought i mention that.

2-6-2014 Hey guys sorry a long wait on a update I've been busy working on another minecraft project but here it is the Cloud update, it adds in clouds and 8-bits all current 1.8 minecraft textures as of 2-6-2014. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT THE READ ME HAS BEEN UPDATED AS of 2-6-2014 please read.

The update before this changes ores and the color yellow for stained clay. Now i cant remember at the moment it was beta 2 or beta 3 but the myclium text has been fixed as well, I also added a few secret textures as of beta update 2 so have fun looking through there.

1-16-14 1.8 version 2 now available as of 1/16/14 lots of texture updates including the ores, the menu screen, Holiday Chests and a couple of secrets I put in there as well.

This is now 1.8 snapshot compatible :D

The Yellow stained clay has had its color changed.

Rain is now a bit more transparent as well.

Currently all textures are done and the Chicken and snow have been updated as of 1/1/14 at 7:14pm Central time.

How to Install

1. you download it from here.
2. You extact it.
3. you drag a folder out of your newly extracted one.
4. You put that new folder in your resource packs folder.
5. Have fun ^^.

IMPORTANT

If Anyone downloaded this on 12/26/13 from around 10:00pm to about 1:30AM give or take and the texture pack does not work re-download it there was a MC.Meta Error which would cause the pack not to work sorry for the error.

This pack is made on a palate as well which is in the folder with it.

This pack may only be modified for personal use, It shall not be redistributed without my permission.

Please leave a comment about the pack and which one you like better.

Also I am not downgrading this to older versions of minecraft.

HOW TO FIX SPIDER AND ENDERMAN/DRAGON HAVING NEW EYES GLITCH. (assuming it can still be a problem for older versions of the pack)

1. Open your paint program I use paint.net.

2. Completly delete everything in the eye file by cutting the image you had.

3. Save it but don't lose the cut you made so you can repaste your art later.

4. Paste your art you cut.

5. Save it again it should be fixed.
