For versions 1.14 through 1-20.1, activating the pack will produce a warning that it was made for an earlier version…
this can be safely ignored. [βThose versions 'see' only the single version supported format declaration. ]

Have something to say?
I understand there are alsp differences in the technical aspects of pack structure as well and keeping anything like up-to-date on the changes between versions just in java is already more of a chore than a pleasure.
You mean that it just changes them to their old textures? because that is what the screenshot shows
No, it does not (although that is the look at which I was aiming. V )
[Pursuant to this thread, https://www.planetminecraft.com/forums/communities/texturing/why-are-original-texture-banned-699382/ (and despite the continued existence of quite a number of counterexamples q.q.v. https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/backported-dye-1-13-to-1-21-8-6688606/comment/10706880/#reply_10706880 )
I created textures that are sufficiently visually similar to be used successfully in place of the old [better] mossy blocks, but did not post any MS/Mj textures]

Try checking with a graphics program rather than relying on your eyes
Case in point: Mossy Cobble; 7α΅Κ° pixel from left of mine [βthe leftmost green pixel in the top row] is #2a652a! vs#225622! in 1.7, #3b653b! in 1.8, #523959! in 1.14A & 1.14B.
Given that I was making something intended to look a great deal like the 1.8 texture, the result [βunsurprisingly] looks a great deal like the 1.8 texture.
