As requested, here is the version of my hurricane lantern pack with both the lanterns as the actual old model of the real thing, before the "modern" hurricane lantern was invented. Their called Monarch lanterns apparently.


Just as in the original pack, this also has a version without the vire support, kind of atleast.

Tweaked the models here and there

They should work just fine. One thing that might be causing it, is if you have some other texture packs enabled. You could try putting the lanternpack above other packs. If that doesn't work, then I have no idea why that's happening for you.

I guess it's not compatible with Optifine

It is compatible with optifine for sure, I can say that much.
