Add depth to blocks without cubes
Does this by using planes in smart ways
In sugarcane each cane is it's own cross section
In ladders and rails 2 planes are used to separate them and add depth to each part of the block
The cubes work by using a second layer on top or in some a new layer inside.
The pack also features a shader that allows a lot of this to be possible far easier, it also features a base model for future blocks to be added, if you are interested in making more blocks feel free to poke around, just that if you do anything and plan to post it give credit please :D
The shader was done by the amazing Shock Micro you can find her on twitter here: https://twitter.com/ShockMicro
She does really really awesome shader stuff, that I even recommend playing with if you like this pack.

New blocks
-Enchanting table
-Smithing table
-Cartography table
-Crafting table
-Fletching table
-Bookshelf
Also the pack now works thanks to a shader and many of the blocks use a custom made base model for reference, this would allow quicker development of new blocks and also can be use for anyone else to make their own things faster. Just give credit :D
Also sadly do to the use of the shader now is incompatible with sodium

(and you've provided base models! thank you!)
Before the shader thing I needed to model all the layer that I would add, this proved to be not great in the case of the sticky piston, that used several cubes just to make the sticky overlay.
The shader allows the solid blocks to also use transparency which allows me to just use a lot less cubes, with that I was able to make a parent model from which all blocks rely on.
Sadly sodium overwrites a lot of shader things resourcepacks can do so in order to make it sodium compatible I will need to model by hand all the layers.
Not impossible but time consuming, I may consider doing that later if I get the free time but atm not planning to do that.
On the bright side if you intend to use some shader using iris alongside sodium, afaik many of those shaders also make the resourcepack work.
Really cool resource pack btw, great job!
This really adds subtle improvements to the models. I like it.
enchanting table (carpet part)
bookshelves (the books)
ores maybe? idk if it would look right
