This is a simple terrain/items texture pack,
-With these simple textures your FPS will increase (very slightly)
-You can easily see what block is what (apart from bedrock)
-111/236 terrain textures have been simplified
-56/199 item textures have been simplified

Sorry, after a year of more experience, I now realise that the only change it makes is perhaps a 1% faster load time

It does change fps as the png file is smaller so it's faster to read
