Hello all!
This is my very first texture pack that I've been working on for some time. What started out as a few tweaks to Vanilla has bloomed into a full-fledged texture pack while retaining a lot of the feel of vanilla.
As the title suggests, the main focus of this pack was to smooth the vanilla textures to make them more visually appealing, as well as to make the textures blend better together.
Some things may be familiar, others not. The porkchops are now bacon, the beef is ribeye steak; many blocks have a more organized, industrial feel to them (such as cobblestone, sandstone, brick, nether brick, and obsidian); and the End and Ender items now have a black and red theme (the Ender Crystals look kinda like the Eye of Sauron!)
Another important part of this pack is animation! Tons of things are animated, from the plants to the blocks to the items. Some subtle, some obvious, the animations really make the world feel more alive.
If you're using the default Steve skin (and running the 1.8 snapshot version), the default "Steve" skin will look like this:http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/smooth-chocolate---default-skin/ You can toggle the hat, backpack, gloves, and boots from the Skin Options menu.
ADDONS:
Red Bed: http://www.mediafire.com/download/475t249hj72h5h8/Smooth_Chocolate_red_bed.zip
Special thanks to Cpt. Corn for the wooden chest textures from CoterieCraft, found here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/115061-coterie-craft-v5s05-16x-mc-174-and-below-now-supports-pixelmon-too-updated-4914/
Also special thanks to zebragrrl, as this pack uses a modified version of her Stevian Villagers textures, which can be found here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1016007-16x162-stevian-villagers-resource-pack-7202013/page__hl__%20stevian%20%20villagers
Feedback and critique are always appreciated. Hope you enjoy!

Update 1.4.2 : by Ichthus95 09/09/2014 1:19:29 pmSeptember 9, 2014 @ 5:19 pm UTC
Another minor update as I'm finalizing the 1.8 version of the pack. I've made completely new 1.8 stone textures, as I felt that my originals deviated too much from the default pack (especially with andesite and smooth andesite, which many people are incorporating into their builds).
