This resource pack aims to provide realistic builders with a new way of adding colorful foliage to their builds. Please note that this pack requires optifine to work.

Design Principles

  • Caters to builders who work on realism and recreations.
  • Builds made with this pack should still look good with it disabled, and vice versa.
  • Expands possibilities for builder creativity without imposing any new limitations.
  • Maximized compatibility with other resource packs.

Summary of changes

  • Adds 16 biome-dependent colors for realistic foliage.
  • Adds biome-dependent coloration to several foliage blocks (azalea leaves, sugar cane, lily pads, big and small dripleafs).
  • Adds 4 biome-dependent grass colors.

Biome Key

Note: the plains biome has intentionally been left untouched as the default, unaltered color. I have found that most realistic builders rarely use biomes other than plains, so I consider these new colors additions rather than replacements.

FAQ

How do I access these colors?
Using worldedit, you can either:
  • select a region and use //setbiome biome_name
  • use a brush or selection command and use #biome[biome_name] as the pattern
Why aren't the colors appearing?
Make sure that your game is using optifine/optifabric.

Is this pack compatable with version 1.X?
I can only confirm that this pack works with versions 1.18+. It should be backwards compatible to a certain extent, but I have not tested it.

I don't want to color my foliage myself. How does this pack help me?
Stay tuned, as I have plans for a realistic tree schematic pack that utilizes this resource pack!

Thanks! Cherry leaves are not biome-dependent, so this pack doesn't effect them at all.
