New this week!

Sparkfire is a qausi-faithful texture pack, designed to both look good and be adaptable to things built in default and other popular texture packs, making it perfect for use on SMP servers.

Originally started as a community pack I made for the hhminecraft server, the pack is now a full fledged graphic overhaul of minecraft, with nearly all of the game files modified.

Currently only the skeleton, enderman, dragon, wolf, and villagers have been textured. But the rest are being worked on and will be increasingly present in future versions, along with teaks and re-textures along the way. I fully encourage editing in mobs of other packs, but I can't and won't include stolen mobs in my release.

The most important thing about this pack is if you don't like something, or it seems something could be done better, you absolutely have to let me know! I love to experiment, and a good idea just might help me finally correct one of the less pristine textures in this pack!

1 Update Logs

Version V1.1 : by LimitForce 04/08/2012 8:33:22 pmApril 9, 2012 @ 12:33 am UTC

Missing Hardcore health display and missing poisoned hearts fixed.

Font edited to make the lowercase g distinct from the 9.

Skeleton mob texture finished and added in.

-Randommob support for skeletons implemented, variation between bleached and unbleached bones.

New flowing lava animation, a matching edit in the still lava soon to come.

New natural glowstone texture, looks appropriate in the nether, and is a closer stylistic analogue for default.

Netherrack and soul sand brightened a bit.

Pumpkin mask shifted to correctly align with the first person focus.

not sure if your already planning to do this or anything but my only suggestion to you is to give water an animation. other than that its perfect

I am actually! Animations are one of the first things I want to look into as I do the mobs and finish off the bare bones of the pack. I'm thinking a very subtle slow rippling, nothing high contrast like a sparkle. Glad you like it so much.
